Girls Rock! Melbourne (GR!M) is a non-profit organisation which aims to empower young female, trans, and gender diverse people aged 10 - 17 through music and education. We hold school holidays programs, workshops, and other events throughout the year in an effort to address the problem of gender inequality in the music industry. Accessibility is our goal, so financial aid is always available, and we provide the instruments. Participants at our 5-day school holidays program are put into bands, receive instrument instruction, attend empowering and self-confidence boosting workshops, watch lunchtime performers, and work with band mentors to write an original song.

The Girls Rock! Melbourne Showcase Gig will debut the original songs of Melbourne's 11 newest bands of under-18 female, trans and gender diverse musicians, some of whom have only started playing their instrument during camp week! It's a family-friendly, guaranteed great time celebrating young people in music.
