The Story

Guitarist, composer Pierre Jaquinot and vocalist Annemarie Sharry reunite to continue their more than 20 year association with a performance of classic and lesser known standards and some originals. With a long history of performance on the Melbourne jazz scene, Pierre and Annemarie first recorded together on Pierre’s CD ‘Music from Merrick’s General Store’ back in 2005. Individually, they have performed with jazz luminaries such as Joe Chindamo, Bob Sedergreen, Paul Williamson, Cocos Lunch and many others. As co-founder and Musical Director of Melbourne based SOUTH OF THE RIVER CHOIR, Annemarie led the choir to the finals of the ABC Classic FM Choir of the Year Awards in 2006. Modern, original interpretations of Gershwin, Cole Porter, Jobim and Jerome Kern highlight their performance, mixed with a jazz take on more recent composers.
