ESTELLE SHIRCORE BARKER HOUSE CONCERT

Rescheduled due to NSW COVID lockdown

SATURDAY 30 October at 2PM & 8PM - Venue TBA on ticket purchase

Apollo Bay’s own concert pianist presents some of the greatest classical and romantic works composed for solo piano, performed on the grand piano in an intimate house setting.
Inspired by WinterWild, she has created a dynamic program of Beethoven, Chopin and Liszt, featuring works which dance between tranquility, introspection and fiery intensity.

Estelle is studying at the Sydney Conservatorium and has recently returned from touring Sydney, Canberra and regional NSW with her piano quintet. We are delighted she has made herself available to perform in every WinterWild to date.

THE DOGWATCH PART-1

CANCELLED DUE TO COVID RESTRICTIONS

At the throbbing heart of WinterWild is fire. And nothing embraces, sculpts, worships and glorifies fire quite like The DogWatch. This is the event that the festival begins and ends with - that defines it, energises it, enflames it.

This year’s theme centres around the Sirens - those mythical creatures, half-woman, half-bird with an irresistibly haunting song that lures sailors on to the rocks of their island piled with bones.

The DogWatch will once again be directed by Roderick Poole, a veteran of outdoor spectacle, his works having been performed in over 40 countries. He will collaborate with Eloise Wood and WildHoney Performing Arts, along with a horde of local artists, performers, dancers, musicians and Apollo Bay stalwarts. This will be a passionate, eerie performance that goes to the dark heart of Apollo Bay.

This event is assisted by Creative Victoria and Regional Arts Victoria
